Being awarded this scholarship allows me to properly flourish and prosper in my education. It will allow me to be able to experience university life and access education, like my peers, without the constant fear of financial instability. With the help of the Sargeant family and the donors of the scholarship, I will successfully be able to purchase myself the right equipment for my studies, including my laptop, pens, and books, and have extra comfort in knowing I have money that will be able to support me throughout my studies. 

I also intend to pay off a portion of my tuition fees with the money and save it for when I may have greater academic costs. I feel great comfort in knowing that I have been supported by the Sargeant family and their generosity, through the scholarship set out to help me as someone who is often largely underrepresented in education and is often not able to access the same opportunities, whether in work or in education. With the money used to help me get through my studies, 

I intend to become a software engineer or work as a consultant, in the bustling and lucrative world of technology. I aim to change the face of technology so that more women of colour feel that there is a place for them within the corporate world. So far, my course has been full of foreign and interesting concepts, which have opened my eyes to the possibilities of technology and has peaked my captivation for the field. I look forward to continuing my education and thank the donors of the scholarship for their contribution, as well as the family for selflessly setting up the scholarship.
